The 51st Dunmore Annual Festival will run from Friday 1st to Sunday 10th August 2025. Full Programme details will be announced in July.

A Few Words about us

Dunmore Annual Festival has been putting on a fantastic programme of events for the community to enjoy for over 50 years making it one of the country’s longest running festivals and it is still going strong.

The festival’s success can be attributed to the local people and visitors who attend the events, the local businesses who generously support the festival and the dedicated committee’s who down through the years even in tough times, manage to organise a festival that the Parish of Dunmore can be proud of. Locals and Visitors from all corners of the world look forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones as well as many happy memories in Dunmore each year.

Each year the committee brings you an action packed programme of nearly 100 events to suit all ages. Highlights each year include the bank holiday Monday family Sports Day and the popular Traditional Market Day takes place on the Thursday of festival week. Featuring local crafts, traditional stalls with homemade produce, butter making, and a blacksmith demonstration in the square. A vintage display of thrashing, sheep shearing, wood turning, turf cutting will take place. It is a day not to be missed.

The Garrafrauns to Dunmore 6K Road Race is held each year on the Monday of the August Bank Holiday Weekend as part of the Dunmore Annual Festival Sport Day.

In 2018 in conjunction with Dunmore Tidy Town’s the festival committee launched a fairy trail on the bog walk, the children of Dunmore helped to build magical fairy doors, house and business which people can explore all year round. The fairies usually have an enchanting party each year during festival week to thank all the locals.

Festivals do not run themselves and each year a small but dedicated team of volunteers come together to plan, organise and run each festival. It’s not all hard work though there is plenty of fun and laughter to be had as well as lifelong friends to make.
